Ameriscape USA Landscape Maintenance Agreement
for Lake St. Charles CDD 2003 through 2004
$114,000 annually, or $9,500 per month.
The landscape contract is between the CDD and Ameriscape USA.
We have an agreement to pay them $114,000 annually, or $9,500 per
month. The contract is for LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE AND MOWING only, and #6
on the contract states that "The "Landscape Maintenance and
Mowing" will be conducted in a manner consistent with best
management policies." Landscape maintenance and mowing
includes:
1. Production. A minimum of 40 mowings per year.
2. Landscape trimming. (20 per year).
3. Weeding (40 per year).
4. Pest Control (2 applications per year -- with spot applications
where necessary).
5. Fertilization of turf (4 per year).
6. Fertilization of shrubs and ornamentals (3 per year).
7. Fertilization of trees (2 per year).
8. Irrigation (visual head inspection once each month.
9. Water supply (monitor water supply monthly).
10. Mulch (2 applications per year in all bedding and tree well
areas).
11. Annuals (provided and maintained at all village entry feature
locations and medians and rights of way. Annuals shall be rotated
4 times per year. 2,400 annuals shall be provided at each rotation.)

The contract states that we can terminate the contract upon 30 days
notice, after first notifying the contractor that the Board doesn't feel
they are performing in a satisfying manner and giving the contractor
time to "investigate the cause for the District's lack of
satisfaction and attempt to cure same."
